The Data and Needs Assessment Unit (DNA) is committed to providing accurate information and research backed support. DNA has been able to develop a multitude of comprehensive needs assessments and scenario reports on all areas in Syria, in an effort to aid in coordination efforts through valuable research and analysis. The unit also functions to provide Al Ameen with the information necessary for program development and to enhance the effectiveness of project implementation. The current team is composed of five people outside of Syria, including a Monitoring and Evaluation Manager, Coordinators, Data Officer, Research Analyst, and Translator. Inside Syria, DNA has 37 researchers located in ten of the Syrian provinces, including Al Hassakeh, Raqqa, Deir Ezzor, Aleppo, Idleb, Lattakia, Hama, Rif Homs, Daraa, Qunietra, and Rif Damascus.
